ChessKinetics Blunders
Tactical blind spots and calculation breakdowns from training positions.
While using ChessKinetics for my own daily training, I noticed that simply checking the computer solution after a failed puzzle was often not enough. The most useful part of the review was stepping back to ask why my mind went in the wrong direction in the first place.
In this section, I share positions from my own training sessions where I missed the solution or got stuck on the wrong idea. Each post looks at the initial thought process, why the tempting choice falls short, and the habits or assumptions that got in the way. Identifying the reasons behind a mistake is just as valuable as finding the right move, and reflecting on these moments is a good way to spot recurring blind spots and build better calculation habits over the board.
